1. Everyone is born in an unrighteous state. "As it is written: "There is none righteous no not one." Romans 3:10
2. We have all sinned which separates us from God. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
3. Because we have sinned, death has enter through that sin. "Therefore just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned." Romans 5:12
4. Sin brought us death, But God's gift to us is eternal life through Jesus. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
5. Jesus Christ loved us so much he gave His life for us. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
6. You can have forgiveness and eternal life through confession. "That is you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." Romans 10:9-10
"For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Here is an example of what to pray to be saved:
- "Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His precious blood and died for my sin and then rose again. I am willing to turn from sin. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal savior."
